How Does Spider Vein Treatment Work?
Spider vein treatment (also known as thread vein, capillary veins or broken blood vessels) involves an intense light laser being directed to your target area which coagulates the blood within the vein and sends this blood to veins deeper down.
Once you have had your treatment, the vein will not reappear, however, you may develop new spider veins depending on your lifestyle.
This treatment involves no downtime allowing you to resume normal activities straight away. You will notice significant improvements within 2-4 weeks of treatment but it may take several months to see the final result.
Please avoid exercise and sun exposure for at least 24 hours post-procedure.
What is a spider vein?
Spider veins are small, painless veins that can appear on the surface of your legs or face. They are not usually harmful, and many people choose to remove them more for cosmetic reasons.
They can be blue, purple, or red in appearance and may form a pattern resembling a thin line, a web, or like tree branches.
How long will the process take?
Each treatment we offer will take between 15-30 minutes and we suggest 1-2 sessions for maximum effect.
Which skin areas does it work on?
Spider veins usually appear on your thighs, calves, ankles and sometimes your face.
Are there any side effects to this treatment?
You may experience redness and swelling after your treatment but this will fade within a few hours. On the very rare occasion, blistering may occur but is easily treated by regularly moisturising.
Is Spider Vein Treatment painful?
The treatment may cause a slight stinging sensation and be mildly uncomfortable but not painful.
