Award-winning technology
Soprano ICE Platinum is an advanced hair removal platform which is specifically designed to provide effective treatment to a wide range of skin and hair types. The technology offers power and versatility by incorporating the three most effective wavelengths for hair removal:
- Alex Technology: 755nm wavelength offers more powerful energy absorption targeting the widest range of hair types and colours, especially lighter-coloured and finer hair.
- Diode Technology: 810nm is the classic wavelength to offer high power and deep penetration of the hair follicle.
- YAG Technology: 1064nm wavelength offers the deepest penetration of the hair follicle making it an optimal solution for darker skin types and thicker, darker hair.
Traditional lasers only operate using 1 or 2 laser wavelengths. By utilising 3 wavelengths the Soprano Ice Platinum treatment is more effective in reducing and eliminating hair growth. The treatment targets the hair follicle, root, and bulb to produce fantastic results in reduced hair growth by using a back and forth motion to gradually build energy and heat as opposed to the traditional shots method, this new technique ensures the treatment is virtually painless and much safer compared to other systems.
Does iLuvo Beauty offer free consultations?
Yes, we offer a 30-minute free consultation and patch test for both laser hair removal and laser skin treatments.
What is laser hair removal?
Laser Hair Removal is a form of hair removal that offers a pain-free, almost permanent hair removal solution as an alternative to waxing or shaving.
How many laser hair removal treatments do I need before I see results?
You will start to see results after your second treatment.
Does laser hair removal hurt?
Laser hair removal, if done correctly, using the correct energy, fluency, frequency, etc. should not cause any pain at all. At worst a slight discomfort. Having said that, there are clinics out there that use the same system with unqualified, uncertified, and inexperienced staff, which can result in some pain. This is why it is important to remember that just because someone is cheaper, they can offer the same level of service and somewhere that is slightly more expensive. Here at iLuvo Beauty, our clinicians are trained specifically in the machinery that we use and the certifications required to be able to identify the skin and hair types of an individual. Enabling the clinician to configure the machine to its optimal settings for the person being treated. This leads to a more professional, friendly, pain-free, longer lasting, solution.
Is laser hair removal quick?
Laser hair removal is known as one of the quicker ways to remove unwanted hairs for a long period of time. It is generally more efficient and quicker than waxing and certainly less painful. The main benefit of laser hair removal is the smoothness of the skin after treatment and the longevity of the treatment. Once you have completed your treatment plan you may only need to top up your treatment once or maybe twice per year.
Is laser hair removal permanent?
Whilst it is generally marketed as being a permanent solution to unwanted hair, it isn't quite a permanent solution. There are no permanent solutions out there currently in today's market. So why is Laser Hair Removal marketed as being "Permanent"? Well, this is because the results last for a very long time, are near permanent and can be permanent should you ensure that you attend a bi-annual or annual top-up session.
Can I have laser treatments whilst pregnant?
Depending on the treatment required our therapists will advise you about the treatments available.
Does iLuvo Beauty sell any treatment products?
We sell a limited range of beauty treatment creams and gels in our clinic and hope to offer an online store in the near future. Please speak to a therapist or email info@iluvo.co.uk for more information.

Does Eyelash Extension Hurt
Generally not, Eyebrow Extension itself does not hurt, the removal of existing eyelash extension can cause some slight discomfort, but not unbearable.
Does Permanent Eyelash Treatment / Eyelash Tattoo Hurt
Like most tattoos, Eyelash Tattoo can be painful, but not unbearable. a numbing cream can be applied to help relieve discomfort.
Does massage hurt?
It really depends on the type of massage selected and your individual pain tolerance. A deep tissue/sports massage is generally the most painful massage, although, the masseuse will help discuss and adjust the pressure to a level that is bearable for you.
How long does permanent eyebrow tattoo last for?
A permanent massage tattoo can last a year or more but will require regular top-up's to maintain the visibility of the tattoo.
Super Hair Removal (SHR)
SHR is the only clinically proven hair removal treatment which is virtually pain-free and used worldwide. Soprano ICE Platinum uses SHR to ensure a safe and comfortable treatment experience. SHR works by using a high frequency of short pulses, therapeutically delivered deep into the skin to build up heat, degenerating hair follicles and preventing regrowth. We achieve this by sweeping the applicator repeatedly over the treatment area whilst the ICE technology cools the surface of the skin to prevent damage to the surrounding skin. This state-of-the-art combination allows for painless and highly effective hair removal.
Preparation
- Shave targeted areas a few hours before your visit, ensuring they are smooth and stubble free
- Except for shaving, avoid all hair removal treatments including creams for 6 weeks before your treatment and throughout the course
- Two weeks before treatment, avoid sunbeds and fake tan
- Avoid normal sun exposure for 1 week before your treatment
- Check whether any medications you are taking cause photosensitivity – this may prevent treatment due to increased sensitivity to light and heat
Can I be treated?
The Soprano Ice Platinum is suitable for any skin type but if you have tanned recently then you should wait one week before treatment. The system uses 3 different laser light wavelengths to target as many hair colours and textures as possible.
Who would you not recommend the treatment for?
Lasers target the melanin pigment in the hair follicle so treatment for ginger, white, or grey hair will, unfortunately, be ineffective. The darker and denser the hair, the more effective the treatment.
Requirements for treatment:
- You must be 18 years or older
- Please do not shave for 8 hours before the session
- We cannot treat you if you are regularly taking Accutane medication
- If you are pregnant we won't be able to offer our treatment to you.
- Avoid significant sun exposure (one week prior), sunburn, fake tan or peeling skin
- No light-sensitive epilepsy, vitiligo, type 1 diabetes, a history of keloid scarring or lupus
- Please take anti-viral medication for 3 days prior to and after treatment if you have a history of cold sores
- If you are currently taking any medication or herbal supplement that may cause photosensitivity please seek a doctor’s note before commencing treatment
Is Laser Hair Removal safe?
Yes, the Soprano Ice Platinum system is one of the safest on the market with the applicator using a back-and-forth motion to prevent excessive energy and heat build-up.
How many Laser Hair Removal treatments do I need?
Laser hair removal technology treats hair in the Anagen growth phase, at any time this will be around 10-15% of hair in an area, therefore, each treatment 4-8 weeks apart will see a 10-15% reduction per treatment. Most clients go for a series of 6-8 treatments per area to ensure maximum effect, but may be more for resistant areas like the face or bikini area.
How Long Does a Treatment Session Take?
Each area can vary depending on what body part you are planning to treat:
- Underarms ~ 10 minutes
- Half Arms or Lower Legs ~ 30 minutes
- Full Back and Shoulders ~ 45 minutes
- Full Body ~ 2 hours 30 minutes
Do I need to shave before Laser Hair Removal?
Please shave a few hours before the appointment to ensure sessions are safe and effective as the laser will be unable to target root structures beneath the skin if not smooth. This period will allow the skin to calm down and redness to fade whilst leaving a smooth surface for the laser to treat. iLuvo offers shaving for a small charge of £10 per area.
Can I sunbathe or use a tanning bed before Laser Hair Removal Treatment?
You may receive laser hair removal treatment if you have a tan but please wait at least 7 days after sun exposure before treatment and avoid sun exposure for 7 days after treatment. Sunbeds must be avoided throughout the course of laser hair removal and if you have red skin, sunburn or peeling skin please wait until your skin is completely healed before starting the treatment.

Why is iLuvo Beauty more expensive than other Soprano ICE Platinum Clinics?
Here at iLuvo Beauty , we provide ourselves providing the most efficient, effective, and safest treatment to our clients. We perform a detailed background analysis of our clients, we perform detailed checks of our client's hair growth, hair type, follicle size, skin colour, hair colour, hair coarseness, hair density, and much more.
This detailed analysis enables our clinician to make accurate tweaking of the laser wavelengths, fluency, frequency, energy, etc. to ensure that the client receives the safest, pain-free, professional and efficient results possible. Being thorough at our work, training our staff to the highest of standards, and running the machines at higher fluency/energy levels, all lead to increased costs.
These costs are then reflected in our pricing. You may see a Soprano ICE Platinum clinic offering underarm treatment for £15 per session, however, because they are inexperienced, or because they are attempting to save money, they may operate the machinery at a lower frequency, lower energy, and lower fluency.
This basically means that the treatment is far less effective and the number of follicles destroyed by the laser is fewer, hair regrowth is quicker, coverage is poorer, and you end up spending even more money because you have to attend more appointments.
Paying a higher price per session, and receiving the absolute best possible service, will result in financial savings over a longer term and lead to more satisfying results for the client.
Here at iLuvo Beauty, we offer the most cost-effective and efficient way to remove hair using the latest and greatest industry-leading, award-winning, Soprano ICE Platinum. Our clinicians are heavily trained and certified in using the Soprano ICE Platinum to its full potential.
